Dr. Beth Davis
Practice Owner, DVM
Dr. Beth Davis truly has a heart for animals. Dr. Davis attended Taylor University where she earned a B.A. Biology in 1982. From there, she attended Purdue University, graduating with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1986.
She loves practicing medicine and performing surgeries. As a girl, she dreamt of helping animals when they were ill or injured. Now, Dr. Davis fulfills her dream and gets to express her love of animals every time she walks into the building.
Dr. Davis’s pet family includes Princess Buttercup, a 4-year-old Lab who loves food, Peanut, a 4 or 5-year-old mixed breed rescue dog, Gracie, a Boston Terrier, and also Bob, Lefty, and Lux, her three cats. Fun fact – She named Peanut so that when she called the dogs, she could say “here peanut butter!”
When not at the hospital, Dr. Davis enjoys visiting with family, reading, traveling to new places, and horseback riding.
Dr. Erin Ricks
Dr. Erin Ricks grew up in Grant County and happily returned to serve in her hometown. She earned her bachelor’s of science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Taylor University in 2018. She then went on to earn her DVM from Purdue College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. Dr. Ricks understands the important relationship between people and their pets, as she herself can’t imagine life without a four-legged family member! In her free time, Dr. Ricks enjoys reading, coloring, baking, and spending time with family.
Kristal joined our team in 2020. She loves working with animals because they are also positive and always happy. All our pet patients brighten her day.
When Kristal isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with family. They love adventures, including camping, kayaking, and spending time outdoors.
Kristal has a three-year-old tuxedo cat, and his name is Mr. Tom Cat Finnicus. He loves to play and hide in boxes. The only way he will drink water is out of the tap, Kristal isn’t sure where he picked up this quirk but believes it may be because he’s finicky.
Jodi has been helping pets as one of our skilled and caring vet techs since 1985. She’s a wonderful example of someone that continues to pursue the best practices and new knowledge, no matter how long she’s been on the job. Jodi was drawn to the veterinary field because she wanted to help animals, who truly are a part of the family. Her favorite part of her position is being able to assist in surgeries.
During her downtime, Jodi enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and taking her two dogs for rides and walks. She has a mixed rescue dog named Millie that is full of personality and a Great Dane that thinks she’s human.
Lisa has been a vet tech at Southway Animal Hospital since 1990. She grew up on a farm and has always loved having and caring for animals. She loves her job because she gets to help her furry friends that visit her at the Southway Animal Hospital on a daily basis.
She attended Purdue University and then completed her associate’s degree in business management at IBC.
Sheri is one of our multi-talented and helpful receptionists. She became a part of the Southway Animal Hospital family in 2020. She loves seeing all the pets that come in and doting on them. Sheri lives by the fact that puppy kisses are the best medicine.
When Sheri isn’t getting showered in puppy kisses, she plays pool in several leagues. She also enjoys reading and watching scary movies. Stephen King is her favorite.
Sheri has a loving pet family made up of a Brittany Spaniel named Buddy and three cats: Banshee, Mushi, and Popcorn.
